For Initial Renewal

Podiatric Physicians

Licensees initially licensed within the biennium are exempt from the CE requirements for renewal with the exception of:

  • During the first biennium or within twelve (12) months of initial licensure, whichever ends later, one (1) full day at a Florida Board of Podiatric Medicine meeting at which disciplinary hearings are conducted as provided in subsection 64B18-17.005, F.A.C.
  • Two (2) hours in the prevention of medical errors
  • One (1) hour of HIV/AIDs

Podiatric X-Ray Assistant

Licensees initially licensed within the biennium are exempt from the CE requirements for renewal with the exception of two (2) hours in the prevention of medical errors

For Renewal of License Following Your First Biennium

Podiatric Physicians are required to complete 40 hours of CE each biennium:

  • One (1) hour of risk management CE
  • One (1) hour of Florida laws and rules CE
  • Two (2) hour course relating to prevention of medical errors
  • 36 hours in general CE

Certified Podiatric X-Ray Assistants are required to complete eight (8) hour recertification course from the Florida Podiatric Medical Association (FPMA) - includes medical errors CE each biennium:
