Effective July 1, 2009, the Florida Board of Chiropractic Medicine is requiring the NBCE Part IV and Physiotherapy examinations in lieu of offering a state administered exam. We will accept the passing scores deemed appropriate by the NBCE.

All requirements currently outlined in the exam application package will remain the same after July 1, 2009. The new fee is $673.00 ($100 application processing fee, $48 fee for criminal history background check, $170 laws/rules CBT, $355 initial license fee). The state administered exam information (physical diagnosis, technique, x-ray interpretation) will be removed along with the corresponding fees and exam deadlines. All applicants will be required to take the FL laws/rules computer based test (CBT) once their application is deemed complete, which will be offered year-round.

Some of the boards, or the department where there is no board, are in the process of updating health history questions on licensure applications for health care professions. Please continue to use the application as it currently appears online until rules are adopted that will allow the department to replace these applications with updated versions.
