Initial Renewal & Renewal of License Following Your First Biennium

All Orthotists, Prosthetists and Pedorthists are required to complete 30 hours of CE each biennium:

  • CPR course
  • Two (2) hours of Florida laws and rules CE
  • Two (2) hour course relating to prevention of medical errors
  • One (1) hour of HIV/AIDs CE
  • 24 hours in general CE

All Orthotic Fitters are required to complete 20 hours of CE each biennium:

  • CPR course
  • Two (2) hours of Florida laws and rules CE
  • Two (2) hour course relating to prevention of medical errors
  • One (1) hour of HIV/AIDs CE
  • 14 hours in general CE

All Orthotic Fitter Assistants are required to complete 10 hours of CE each biennium:

  • CPR course
  • Two (2) hours of Florida laws and rules CE
  • Two (2) hour course relating to prevention of medical errors
  • One (1) hour of HIV/AIDs CE
  • 4 hours in general CE
